A World Within — Extra-Ordinary Support

Questions

Ask anything. Nothing here is a silly question.

These are the things people most often want to know but sometimes hesitate to ask. If yours isn't here, just reach out — Becky is always glad to talk it through.

Is this safe?

Non-ordinary states of consciousness have been experienced by populations across all cultures and across all time. Always remember, Becky stays with you the entire time, and she keeps a quiet eye on how your body is doing throughout. Like anything, it isn't completely without risk — and you'll hear all of it plainly before you decide.

What does it actually feel like?

Most people describe something floating and dreamlike. Colors seem richer, music goes deeper, and time stretches out. Your body feels distant and pleasantly heavy. Many feel a great sense of ease — as though a weight they had stopped noticing has been set down for a while.

What if something difficult comes up?

Sometimes it does — grief, or something you've been carrying quietly for years. That isn't a sign anything has gone wrong; it's often where the real healing lives. Becky is trained to stay steady with you through exactly those moments, and you'll make sense of it together afterward. You won't be left alone with it.

Will I lose control, or say things I regret?

No. You aren't unconscious, and you aren't out of control — you can speak, move, and ask for anything you need. Most people simply become quieter and more inward. Nothing is asked of you, and nothing you say will be met with judgment.

How will I know if this is right for me?

You don't have to know — that's what the first conversation is for. You'll talk it through together, and Becky will be honest if she doesn't think this is the right path for you. There is no pressure in either direction, and no cost to simply asking.

How quickly does it help, and how long does it last?

Often surprisingly fast — relief can arrive the same day, which is quite unlike most other kinds of support. The majority of people feel something shift early on. It usually holds better after more than one meditation, and best of all when it's part of a wider circle of support. That said, no one can promise you a particular outcome.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Then you try again — many people need more than one meditation before anything shifts. But if you're settling in for multiple meditation and nothing has changed, Becky won't keep going simply to keep going. She'll say so honestly, and help you look at what else might serve you better.

Will anyone find out I've been here?

No. What you share stays between you and Becky, held with the same care as any person you would confide in. Nothing goes to anyone else unless you share it. This is your space.

What does it cost? Do you take insurance?

Becky will talk you through fees during your first conversation, so there are no surprises. This is unlicensed, holistic support and is not provided through insurance.

What do you need to feel safe here?

No needles, no doctors, no shrinks, no nonsense. Just extra-ordinary support with B.

What is the emerging science of NOSC?
  • Non-ordinary states of consciousness have been explored across cultures and traditions for centuries as pathways for self-discovery, reflection, and deeper connection.
  • Relief can come quickly — sometimes the same day
  • Studies exploring psychedelic experiences have found that participants often report increases in psychological flexibility—the ability to approach thoughts, emotions, and life experiences with greater openness and awareness.
  • Research suggests that the intensity of a meaningful non-ordinary state of consciousness experience, along with thoughtful preparation and integration, is associated with greater increases in personal insight, self-awareness, and lasting positive change.

This isn't right for everyone — and that's said with care

Some of what follows may read like a list of rules. It isn't. Every line exists to keep you safe, and Becky would far rather tell you honestly that this isn't your path than take you somewhere that could harm you.

If you're in danger of hurting yourself right now, please don't wait for an appointment — call or text 988 to reach someone straight away, or 911 in an emergency. You deserve help sooner than a website can offer.

What you'll need

Not hurdles — just the circle of support that makes this work safe and lasting.

  • Have a regular doctor who knows you, so someone is keeping an eye on your general health — particularly your heart and your breathing.
  • Have a therapist in your life — either someone you already see, or someone you begin seeing as this work starts.
  • Sit down for an unhurried conversation about your history, so you and Becky can decide together whether this is right for you.

Things to settle first

These don't close the door — they just need looking after before you begin. Often it's a matter of one conversation with your healthcare professional, and they should be consulted if you experience any of the following conditions...

  • High blood pressure that is not well managed
  • Heart trouble — i.e. chest pain, a recent heart attack, an irregular heartbeat, or heart failure
  • An untreated or unstable thyroid condition
  • Raised pressure in the brain, or certain neurological conditions
  • Serious liver trouble
  • Seeing or hearing things others don't, or experiences of mania

When this isn't the right path

In these situations this work could genuinely cause harm, so it isn't offered. If that's you, it doesn't mean nothing can help — it means something else will serve you better, and Becky will point you toward it.

  • Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or psychosis that is currently active
  • A manic or mixed episode happening right now
  • Drinking or sedative use that has taken hold, or being under the influence
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless a doctor has specifically said it's safe
  • A known allergy to this medicine
  • A history of aneurysm, stroke, or bleeding in the brain
  • Thoughts of ending your life that need more immediate, intensive care than this

This isn't a complete list. Some medicines — certain mood stabilizers and anxiety medicines among them — can also change how this works. Everything is looked at properly and individually.

If you're still reading, that means you must be curious

Beginning is simpler than it looks: you reach out, and you talk. You'll say what brought you here and what you're hoping for, and together you'll work out whether this is your path. There is no pressure either way, and no commitment in asking.

Ready to take a first step?

Reach out and we'll simply talk — about what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and whether this feels like your path. No pressure, and no commitment in asking.
