For your understanding
Informed Consent & Participation Agreement
This agreement is designed to create clarity, respect, and shared understanding between the Participant and the Integration Facilitator. The intention of this support is to provide a grounded, compassionate, and respectful space for individuals who are exploring, experiencing, or integrating non-ordinary states of consciousness.
This page is educational. Before you begin, you'll review and sign a complete informed-consent document with Becky, and you'll have the chance to ask anything you wish. It's very important to us that you feel safe and respected throughout. Participation is a personal choice. You are invited to engage with curiosity, self-responsibility, and awareness of your own needs, values, and boundaries.

Benefits & Risks
Non-ordinary states of consciousness can have positive effects when they happen in safe and healthy ways. For example, meditation, deep prayer, creative flow, and dreaming can help people feel calmer, reduce stress, and gain new insights about themselves. Some people find that these experiences improve their creativity, emotional healing, or sense of connection with others. When practiced responsibly, these states can support personal growth, self-awareness, and overall well-being.
Non-ordinary states of consciousness can also have risks, especially when they are caused by alcohol, drugs, sleep deprivation, or unsafe situations. These states may affect judgment, memory, and decision-making, increasing the chance of accidents or risky behavior. Some people may experience fear, confusion, anxiety, or emotional distress, and those with certain mental health conditions may be more vulnerable to negative effects. Understanding these risks and making safe choices can help reduce harm while supporting both physical and mental health.
Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness
Non-ordinary states of consciousness can be meaningful, challenging, unfamiliar, inspiring, confusing, or transformative. Experiences may vary widely from person to person. A Participant may experience a range of emotional, physical, cognitive, perceptual, or spiritual experiences, including but not limited to:
- Heightened awareness or sensitivity
- Strong emotions
- Memories or personal reflections
- Changes in perception of time, self, or surroundings
- Feelings of connection, insight, uncertainty, vulnerability, or discomfort
There is no guaranteed outcome. Every person’s experience is unique.
Personal Responsibility & Choice
You understand that participation involves personal responsibility and informed choice. You agree to consider your own circumstances, including physical health, emotional wellbeing, medications, personal history, environment, relationships, and available support systems when deciding whether this support is appropriate for you. You agree to communicate any concerns that may affect your ability to participate safely and meaningfully.
Alternatives
No other medicine produces ketamine's specific effect. Psychotherapy without ketamine is available and can be effective. Depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorders are commonly treated with antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and psychotherapy; PTSD is often treated with EMDR; and ECT and TMS are used for treatment-resistant depression.
Confidentiality & Privacy
The Integration Facilitator respects the privacy of Participants and will make reasonable efforts to maintain confidentiality. However, confidentiality has limits. Information may need to be shared when required by law or when there is a serious concern involving immediate safety, harm, abuse, neglect, or another legally recognized exception. Participants are also encouraged to respect the privacy of others who may be part of shared spaces or communities connected to this work.
Boundaries & Respect
This support relationship is based on mutual respect, consent, and clear boundaries. The Participant and Integration Facilitator agree to:
- Communicate openly and respectfully.
- Honor personal boundaries.
- Avoid coercion, pressure, or dependency.
- Maintain awareness of the responsibilities of each person within this relationship.
The Participant is always encouraged to ask questions and request clarification.
A complete, signed consent document is provided during your intake, and you'll have the chance to ask about anything in it.
