How does it work
Together, we prepare, we journey, we integrate. Support within connection.
Expanded states of consciousness can open the door to profound self-discovery, helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom, meet the different parts of yourself with compassion, and gain fresh perspective on your inner world. When approached with intention and supported through thoughtful integration, these experiences can create space for healing, harmony, and a deeper connection with the many parts of who you are. They can inspire lasting personal growth, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of wholeness, authenticity, and inner alignment.
Holistic integration support
Preparation is an invitation to turn your attention within, creating space for curiosity, intention, and a deeper connection within yourself. Through reflection, grounding practices, and mindful exploration, we cultivate trust in your inner wisdom while setting meaningful intentions to support your experience with openness, support, and presence.
Integration is how we honor your experience, by allowing its insights to unfold in meaningful ways. Together, we explore the emotions, perspectives, and moments of clarity that arise, helping you weave them into your daily life with intention and compassion. Like gathering pieces of your puzzle, integration supports a deeper understanding of yourself, greater alignment with your values, and a more connected relationship with your inner world.
Why it helps
Neuroplasticity! That is your brain’s natural ability to grow, adapt, and create new pathways through your experiences, thoughts, and actions. Imagine your mind as a forest filled with many paths—some are wide and familiar because you’ve traveled them for years, while others are small and overgrown. With intention, awareness, and new experiences, you can begin to clear new paths and strengthen healthier ones, allowing your brain to create new ways of responding, learning, and seeing the world.
Discovering and connecting to our parts supports neuroplasticity by helping us bring awareness, compassion, and curiosity to the different experiences, emotions, and patterns within us. When we gently connect with the parts of ourselves that hold old beliefs, guarding responses, or past experiences, we create an opportunity for new pathways to form. Like tending pathways within the forest of the mind, this process helps us soften well-worn trails that no longer serve us and cultivate new paths rooted in self-compassion, resilience, and greater freedom of choice.
What it feels like
Some people describe these states as a softening of the usual boundaries between thoughts, feelings, memories, and sensations. Like sunlight filtering through the trees, new perspectives may emerge, offering a deeper sense of curiosity, compassion, and connection. Physically, this may feel like waves of relaxation, openness, or a renewed relationship with the wisdom of the body. Spiritually, it may bring feelings of wonder, belonging, and connection to something greater.
Non-ordinary states of consciousness can feel like stepping into a deeper relationship with yourself and the world around you. Like entering a quiet forest within, these experiences may invite you to slow down, listen inwardly, and notice parts of yourself that often remain beneath the surface. They may bring a heightened awareness of the body, emotions, breath, and the present moment.
These experiences can create space to meet the many parts of yourself with kindness—the places that carry hopes, fears, stories, and wisdom. Rather than turning away from what arises, there is an opportunity to listen, understand, and reconnect with a deeper sense of wholeness and inner harmony.
Sometimes what surfaces is hard — grief, or something long avoided. That is not a sign anything has gone wrong. Becky is highly skilled and steady, and she'll be with you through every moments, and they are often where the deepest healing lives.
The importance of integration
Non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC) can create powerful moments of insight, connection, and self-discovery. These experiences can gently shake up the familiar patterns, beliefs, and perspectives we carry—much like a snow globe being turned upside down, allowing the snow to swirl, move, and reveal what has been resting beneath the surface. Integration is the process of sitting with what has been stirred, honoring what emerges, and bringing those insights into everyday life with intention and support.
During this window of openness, we have an opportunity to explore new possibilities and begin repaving pathways within ourselves before the snow settles. Without integration, we may naturally return to the familiar grooves and patterns that have guided us for years. Through reflection, compassion, and mindful practices, we create space for new ways of being to take root—allowing the wisdom of the experience to become a lasting part of our journey rather than a nice moment that simply passes.
Low and slow
We start low and slow and pick up the pace as you begin finding your rhythm. From the first conversation to the first journey, you decide
- I
The invitation
We start by simply talking. You share what brought you here and what you are hoping for; Becky listens, and together you work out whether this feels right for you. If it does, she'll connect you with a professional she trusts, who helps look after you — and she'll gladly work alongside anyone already supporting you.
- II
The preparation
Before anything else, you get to know each other properly. You'll talk about what the day will be like, what you might experience along the way, and what kind of support helps you feel safest. Every question is welcome, none too big or too small. We explore your intentions and fears and make sure you're up for the journey.
- III
The meditation
We settle into a space that's somewhere soft and quiet — a blanket, an eye mask if you want one, music chosen with care, your favorite plushie. Then, you just rest as you soften into an expanded awareness. Becky will always be near, with calm breath and warm words, beside you the whole way.
- IV
The integration
This is where the magic happens, my friend. In the moments that follow, you and Becky explore your world within — the beautiful parts and the challenging parts alike — with curiosity; we use our imaginations to create new neuropathways.
Small things that make for a smooth day
Just a few pro tips to keep in mind - and, Becky will go over this info with you again.
The morning of
If you tend to get belly aches and feel icky, have nothing to eat or drink, except clear liquids or some fruit, before your mediation. Wear what you will feel settled in. Pajamas welcome!
While you're here
It's generally most comfortable to lie still with your eyes closed or covered, but that's entirely up to you. The room is private, quiet, and yours for as long as you need it. She's also open to meeting you in a place of your choosing, provided it's safe and appropriate, of course.
Getting home safely
Arrange for someone you trust to drive you home, and give yourself the rest of the day off if you can— no errands or chores, nothing that asks much of you. Spend your time reflecting.
Looking after you
If you have the support of a loved one, I encourage you to accept their help and support once you're home.
